General FAQ

Q: Can I bring alcohol or marijuana to the venue?

A: We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing alcohol and marijuana to the retreat; our wish for you is to be high on good vibes and fully aware of your surroundings and experience.

 

Q: Is the property accessible for those with disabilities or limited mobility?

A: The main building, bonfire area, and side garden are all wheelchair accessible. However, several of our planned nature-based activities will be in the surrounding wooded areas, which have uneven ground and may not be wheelchair accessible.

 

Q: How soon can I check in on Friday, and How late can I leave on Sunday?

A: If you register for a massage on Friday, you may check in as early as 1:30 pm. Regular ticket holders should arrive for check-in at 7 pm. The last activity will conclude on Sunday at 12:30 pm, with brunch at 1 pm. Check-out will be by 3 pm.

Q: Where should I park?

A: Unloading and parking instructions will be provided the week of the retreat via email.

 

Q: Do I need to bring cash or use credit cards?

A: Everything is inclusive... no need to bring moolah!

 

Q: How can I find out what’s happening during the retreat?

A: We'll provide you with a full itinerary in advance of the weekend and itineraries will also be posted around the retreat center.

 

Q: What if I need emergency assistance, first aid, or medical attention while on the property?

A: We can assist you with medical emergencies - please seek the immediate attention of a facilitator.

 

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: We cannot accommodate pets; no exceptions.

 

Q: Can I walk or jog on the main road?

A: Yes; just keep in mind that the venue is set back from a public road. Please walk/jog facing traffic, look both ways before crossing, and be mindful of cars and surrounding neighbors.

 

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: The venue is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not allowed in or near any building or public gathering space.

 

Q: What about cell phones? Are there any policies around phone use?

A: To uphold the integrity of your experience and to maintain the restful quality of the location, we ask that you do not talk on your cell phone in the proximity of others. Be sure your phone is turned off or silenced during scheduled activities (unless otherwise stated). If you must speak on your phone, please do so in privacy. Be mindful of your behavior in order to preserve the experience of others. (Also see the Social Media Policy below)

 

Q: Do you have Wi-Fi?

A: Yes; however, please try to limit your online activities.

 

Q: What is your Social Media Policy?

A: We deeply respect the privacy of all attendees and ask that you do the same while sharing your experience on social media. Recording sessions is prohibited, as is using the One Beautiful Life logo without prior written permission.

 

Q: Can I record sessions or special events?

A: Recording (video or audio) of any sessions or experience is not permitted. Please see Social Media Policy above.

 

Q: Do I need to worry about ticks?

A: Ticks are a part of life in the wooded landscape. Check your body carefully for deer ticks frequently (they're much smaller than other kinds of ticks). Ticks are easiest to spot against light-colored clothing. Your best protection is to wear long pants, shoes and socks, and long sleeves. We will have insect repellent available for your use.

 

Q: Does the retreat site provide recycling and conservation services?

A: We strive to recycle and conserve resources whenever possible. Please participate in our efforts by conserving water, using eco-friendly water bottles, and utilizing provided recycling bins.

Accommodations FAQ

We expect to sell out. We encourage you to plan ahead when reserving tickets.

 

Q: What does the all-inclusive retreat include?

A: The all-inclusive retreat is per person and includes 2 nights of accommodation with a single bed in a shared room. Bonfire snacks will be provided on Friday evening, 1 Euro-style breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner on Saturday, and a full brunch on Sunday. Beverages include spring water, tea, and coffee. Your ticket also includes an array of wellness workshops & activities during your stay.

 

Q: Can I pick my bed and roommates?

A: It will be first come, first served. When you book your ticket, you'll be given a room choice and a configuration of beds for you to choose from.

 

Q: Can you describe your accommodations?

A: Accommodations feature communal-style bedrooms and shared bathroom facilities. There are two bedrooms with 5 comfy single beds in each room. There are two bathrooms with walk-in shower stalls. This open-plan layout has a communal kitchen, dining, and creativity zone. There’s a lounging nook and a facilitation space where you’ll enjoy movement, breathwork, and voice workshops. If you're the sorta gal who requires privacy, we recommend that you purchase one of our off-site tickets and stay at a hotel. We're happy to provide you with our nearby hotel recommendations within a 15-20 minute drive of the retreat center.

 

Q: Is there a lake or body of water nearby?

A: No; the property features 4 acres of pristine woodlands, the retreat center, and bonfire area, a small side garden, and grassy open spaces.

 

Q: Can I arrive a day early or stay a day late?

A: We are unable to accommodate extra days and times.

 

Q: Can I bring my children?

A: No children; you must be 18 to attend.

 

Q: Can I bring my RV?

A: We cannot accommodate RVs on-site. However, if you purchase an off-site accommodation ticket (there are 4 available), there is an RV campground across from the retreat. This would be at your expense. We are happy to provide you with the contact and booking details.

 

Q: May I leave the property during the retreat or only attend for a 1/2 day?

A: This retreat was created to be an immersive, full-on experience. We want to ensure the integrity of everyone's retreat weekend without disruptions, so we ask that if you sign up, you plan to be on-site for the full experience.

COVID Policy

Please recognize that by attending this retreat, you may be exposed to the COVID virus and various variants of the virus. You understand the precautions that have been taken by retreat organizers to limit your risk of exposure, but you recognize that the risk is still there and that spending time in intimate spaces indoors increases that risk. You understand that each participant is offered the individual decision to wear a mask, and recognize your own right to wear a mask or take any other precautions that feel honorable to your own health and safety.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We reserve the right to change the trip inclusions/itinerary or cancel the retreat at any time. If we cancel the retreat, you will receive a full refund. This is a rain-or-shine retreat weekend.

 

Payment

 

If you choose a payment plan, it is your responsibility to check the payment dates and ensure that your payments have been made in accordance with the payment installment plan. Failure to pay installments by the correct date will mean Tina Derusha LLC dba Luna Zen has the right to cancel the booking with no refund and may pursue legal action if need be to collect outstanding payments. If you prefer, you can pay the entire balance in a lump sum prior to the deadline to avoid this situation.

 

At Booking: An invoice and payment link will be sent to you. If you have chosen a payment plan, a schedule of payment due dates will also be sent to you. Payment is required to secure your spot.

 

Refund

 

Initial deposits are non-refundable. Refunds on the balance are available (less a $75 processing fee) until midnight on Sunday, July 23, 2023. After this date, the event payment is non-refundable.

 

Cancellation

 

Cancellation must be received in writing via email to breathelunazen@gmail.com. If we do not respond to your cancellation, then it has not been processed, so please follow up within 72 hours if confirmation isn't received.

 

No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the arrival day, do not show up, or leave the retreat early for any reason. No refund will be available if you attend and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.

 

Image Collection

 

Tina Derusha LLC dba Luna Zen may collect still and video images of you during the course of your retreat weekend for advertising and promotional purposes. By booking through Tina Derusha LLC dba Luna Zen, you agree that such images may be collected and used by Tina Derusha LLC dba Luna Zen however we see fit, including (but not limited to) commercial use of the images. If you do not wish to be on camera/video, bring this to the attention of retreat leadership by emailing breathelunazen@gmail.com before the commencement of the retreat weekend.

 

Liability and Waiver Release Form

All participants must sign our Participant Agreement, Release, and Assumption of Risk to attend the retreat. You may review this release in advance online and sign it electronically or in person at check-in. We will send you a link to review the waiver with your invoice.
